The black, white, and red pattern known as the "Burberry classic check", and now a registered trademark, was widely used on its own for items including umbrellas, scarves, and luggage.
Color Definition
In this Burberry pattern, there are 4 colors which are red-orange, red, black and white.
1. Primary Colors: Red with low value.
2. Tertiary (Intermediate) Colors: red-orange with high value and low chroma (dark grayish).
3. Achromatic Colors: black and white
They are also aggressive (Warm) Colors in the Burberry classic check. And the colors seem to be added gray to the pure hue.
we can see that Mono-chromatic are used in the pattern which means make use of numerous shades (darker) and tints (lighter) of the red-orange and red hues.
Let's analysis another check pattern.

Color Definition
In this pattern, there are 4 colors which are red, yellow, blue and green.
1. Primary Colors: red, yellow, blue with low value and high chroma.
2. Tertiary (Intermediate) Colors: green with low value.
They are also Receding (Cool) Colors in the check. And the colors seem to be added black to the pure hue.we can see that the scheme of Triad are used in the pattern. Triad is diifficult to apply because it is easy to be ambiguity. Appropreiately controlling the propotion of colors is main point when using this scheme. And I think this check is a sucessful case. It uses Blue and green as the main colors and red and yellow as auxiliary colors.
